Library Cards
Who can get a card?
Anyone who lives in Massachusetts is eligible to borrow items from the Revere Public Library. Proof of residence and Positive ID are required to receive a Revere Public Library card. Patrons who reside in communities that are members of the NOBLE library system should ideally have an active library card in the city or town in which they live. These cards will be honored at the Revere Public Library or we can make you one of ours. Any patron with fines outstanding or overdue items either at Revere or at any NOBLE library may not take items from the Revere Public Library until such issues have been cleared and their card returned to good standing.
How long can I keep something?
All books and periodicals may be borrowed for a period of 21 days. DVDs and Blu-rays may be borrowed for 7 days.
I lost my card! What do I do?
Don’t worry, bring in proper ID and we can issue you a new one.
Can I renew items?
DVDs/Blu-rays may not be renewed. All other library items may be renewed twice, for a period of up to 21 days for each renewal. Renewals are now automatically applied to items, as long as they are not currently needed to fulfill another patron’s hold request. Please contact us if you have any questions on a particular item you have borrowed.
How much is it if my book is overdue?
The Revere Public Library is now fine free. We do not charge late fees for items, we only charge if an item is long overdue or missing. We also offer a replacement policy, so if you are able to obtain a copy of the missing or lost item, we will take that in lieu of the replacement fee. If you have fines or overdue items at other NOBLE libraries, it is your responsibility to clear these with the library in question before Revere will allow you to take any item from our collection.
Do you have a book drop?
Yes! We have an after hours book return drop box located near the rear Children’s Library entrance. The book drop is only open when the library is closed. Donations or bags should NOT be placed in the drop box.
You must have your library card with you to borrow library materials.
